High Sierra Collision – Winter Storm Update

Brought to you by High Sierra Collision

Hi everybody,

Here are the details about the winter storm headed towards our area this morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Reno snow will be moving into the northern Sierra and northwestern Nevada over the next few hours.

Meteorologists expect a mix of rain and snow this afternoon on the valley floor snow levels slowly rising in the evening hours.

Red Flag Warning

Gusty winds are expected to accompany the front as it pushes through today leading the NWS to issue a red flag warning for both the wind and the low humidity.

For the remainder of the week expect the strong pacific jet stream to continue pushing several more moist storms and ‘significant’ precipitation. Snow levels will be way up there at 8,000 feet before falling slightly on Saturday.
